The LADOCK CC Latest News

  • New - April 29th.   The weekend was fantastic in terms of the wins achieved by both of our teams. The 1st XI achieved a 'perfect ten' at Gorran with a 10 wicket win, chasing down  169 with an unbeaten 94 from Matt Butler and a maiden undefeated 50 from Matt Bray, following a strong all-round bowling performance. The Second XI replicated this 10 wicket win at home chasing down a more modest 131 with unbeaten half centuries from opening pair Mike Ellery and Craig Butler. The victory was set up by some excellent bowling from youngsters Harry Standen and Barney Vickers on debut and a three wicket haul from our very own septuagenarian Bill Harding!!!
  • New - April 29th. Although the season is still young, we now have high hopes for this summer, with both our teams sitting in the top five of their respective leagues.  Several new players have been recruited to the club and they are starting to settle in well alongside our established players.
  • New - April 29th.  Outoor nets have now started at Ladock CC on Thursdays from 6.30pm - 8.30pm and sessions will continue throughout the summer. Turn-out has been ok so far but we could always do with more attending, so please come along and participate and get pushing for places on Saturday!
  • In 2017, the First Team will again be captained by Matt Butler. Richard Bray will continue as his Vice Captain. Congratulations to Mike Ellery on being elected as Second Team Captain, with Roger Gates becoming Vice Captain. Many thanks to Craig Butler for his efforts as Second Team Captain over the last few seasons, prior to resigning from the role.
  • Craig Butler is making the early running in this season's Fantasy Cricket League Manager! But can he stay there???? The full league table is in the document library.
